Objectives of the Continuing Education Center :
The center aims to achieve numerous training objectives that contribute to human development both within and outside the university. The main goals that the center works to achieve include:
1. Disseminating new knowledge, information, and research results to professionals in various fields, whether they are university employees or external workers, and linking training to their daily work needs.
2. Providing opportunities for employees in various state sectors to learn about new and beneficial developments in sciences, arts, and technology to achieve professional growth, job satisfaction, and improved performance.
3. Assisting professionals, both employees and non-employees, in acquiring skills and experiences that enable them to face changes and advancements brought about by rapid developments in communications and information technology.
4. Offering opportunities for new faculty members to familiarize themselves with the principles of modern university education characterized by quality, equipping them with contemporary trends in higher education and fostering a culture of thinking and creativity in sciences, arts, literature, and technology.
5. Achieving integration between continuing education programs and those of production, health, and professional institutions.
6. Ensuring integration between formal education and continuing education.
7. Building relationships with scientific bodies, productive institutions, and scientific associations that prioritize human resource development as part of their goals, both within Iraq and abroad, for scientific, professional, and administrative growth.
8. Conducting studies and research related to the daily lives of professionals to identify areas needing training and development.
9. Organizing scientific, cultural, and educational programs for various community segments based on their requests and needs.
10. Contributing to holding seminars, discussion panels, and workshops.
11. Training participants on the use of information and communication technology in learning, teaching, scientific research, and professional work, including training on how to use virtual scientific libraries.
12. Contributing to eradicating literacy—both alphabetic and digital—among university staff and the surrounding villages.
